Race Box App Terms & Conditions

These Terms govern your use of the Race Box companion app (Android and iOS), the Race Box device's online data service, and related firmware (together, the "Service"). The Service is provided by Reklamos Principas, MB, Odminių g. 1A-15, LT-01122 Vilnius, Lithuania, company code 304813538 ("we", "us"). By installing the app or using a Race Box, you accept these Terms. Purchases of the device are covered by our store Terms of Service, Refund Policy and Shipping Policy.

1. The Service

Race Box displays motorsport information, such as session schedules, live timing, positions, intervals, lap and sector times, pit stops, tyre data, weather, race control messages and standings, on your Race Box device and in the app. Some data is available only during live sessions; other data is historical.

2. Data source and accuracy

  1. Race data is obtained from third-party data providers. We do not create or control this data.
  2. Data may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable, for example during network outages, source changes or session interruptions. It is not official timing or results.
  3. Do not rely on the Service for betting, wagering, fantasy contests, journalism, or any decision where accuracy or timing matters. Official results are published by the FIA and the series organisers.
  4. We may change, add or remove data sources, series or features at any time, including if a source becomes unavailable or changes its terms.

3. No affiliation and trademarks

Race Box is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored or approved by Formula One World Championship Limited, Formula One Management, Formula One Licensing B.V., the FIA, or any series, team, driver or broadcaster. F1, FORMULA ONE, FORMULA 1, FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, GRAND PRIX and related marks are trademarks of Formula One Licensing B.V. Team, driver and series names are used only to identify the data shown and remain the property of their owners.

4. Licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your private, non-commercial use, in line with these Terms and the rules of the App Store or Google Play. You may not:

  • copy, modify, reverse-engineer or decompile the app or firmware, except where the law allows;
  • extract, scrape, resell, redistribute or publicly display data from the Service, including in bars, venues or broadcasts;
  • interfere with, overload or try to gain unauthorised access to our servers or other users' devices;
  • use the Service unlawfully or in breach of a data provider's terms.

5. Your Race Box device

  • The device needs a working Wi-Fi connection with internet access, a compatible phone for setup, and mains power.
  • We may deliver firmware updates automatically to keep the Service secure and working. Do not unplug the device during an update.
  • You are responsible for your Wi-Fi network and its security.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service running but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free or available during every session. We may suspend the Service for maintenance or security. We may change or discontinue features; if we plan to permanently end the online Service for devices sold, we will give reasonable notice in the app.

7. Fees

The app is free to download.

8. Privacy

How we handle personal data is explained in our Race Box App Privacy Policy.

9. Warranty and consumer rights

The app and data are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of data. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, including the legal guarantee of conformity for the device and digital content under EU and Lithuanian law.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses from reliance on data, including betting or fantasy losses. Our total liability to you in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you paid for your Race Box. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app and resetting your device. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, for example by scraping or redistributing data.

12. Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store:

  1. These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
  2. Your licence is limited to use on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules.
  3. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  4. If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the app's purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation.
  5. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and consumer protection claims.
  6. We, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and resolving any claim that the app infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
  7. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  8. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring claims in its courts. EU consumers may also use Lithuania's State Consumer Rights Protection Authority (vvtat.lt).

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms and will post the new version here with a new date. We will announce significant changes in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
